Questions about FK 1119

A pal of mine quipped "must've been an ex-Navy pilot" :chuckle:

He was Air Force (only 7 years)...you should tell your friend that, prolly tick him off :) :p

EDIT: How'd he only do 7 years? I thought you couldn't get out with less than 10 :nixweiss:

Thanks for the info, you can *bet* I'll be rubbing that in :chuckle:

All sorts of reasons why people pull short hitches...

I've used it via foam cannon and it worked well, but it definitely is not very cost-efficient. I find CWG much more economical.

I currently use CWC and it works great but from my understanding 1119 is alot stronger. I would use it in a foam gun but the max setting it has is 12oz per gallon. Either way I should be getting mine in a couple of days and ill try it out.

The only thing I need to figure out is if the extra time involved with the 1119 is worth it instead of just going with one wash with CG CWC.

Im thinking maybe ill just dilute it into a spray bottle, spritz the whole car and agitate from there instead of washing the car with it. Itll save some time and might be easier to use.

I can't think of *one* time that I've used FK1119/ValuGard "A" on a regularly detailed vehicle  I only use 'em on projects that have been hideously neglected/abused.

I *guess* it'd make sense to use such stuff to strip off whatever's on there now, but I'd just wait until the existing LSP is dead and then wash/clay/polish/etc. normally.

I see this stuff as a special step, the sort of thing that distinguishes major reconditioning jobs from a regular full detail.

Or at least that's how I feel about it at this moment ;)
