Instead of getting MC 87 to use after IP, could I get KAIO as a haze remover to the Ip and then top with KSG? Would IP and AIO work great? does anyone use this combo

KAIO has no cut? on AG it says removes light swirls, are they lying?

lying is such a nasty word

if you have butter soft paint it might remove light swirls but I would

bet it's the pad removing the swirls with KAIO used as a lube

but say I use WG SR or IP with yellow or orange, would KAIO with a white get rid of haze if any or will a yellow have to do, my car is red so i can move the PC as fast as possible and still no haze :) but i have some black i detail sometimes,

BTW LC CCS Pads

this is crazy, im in the exact same situation as you. i just ordered ip and kaio (for my red car) literally 5 minutes ago. i was hoping the combo would work, mainly b/c i wanted to try kaio but i didnt want to have to buy another polish. i have polish to use, but im really hoping for no haze.

I've used KAIO on a lot of surfaces and it's simply *never* removed marring for me. Even on the soft single stage black lacquer of my Jag's door window frames, I can't remember it ever doing any correction; KAIO is functionally nonabrasive IME.

I like BigJimZ28's response regarding AG's claims. You simply have to take *ALL* ad copy with a grain of salt, a certain degree of hyperbole is the rule of the day, even with vendors I know/like/patronize. "All in one" products are, well, expected to do it all, even though that expectation isn't too realistic. Note that KAIO was once more aggressive (abrasive-wise) than it is now, and when it first came out most paint was softer single stage; things are different these days but I still see KAIO advertised as doing everything. Heh heh, I've also read ad claims about how it lasts for months too...yeah, right

Noting that *I have never used Menzerna IP*, my painter does use it, and he *always* follows up with a milder final polish. Whether you'll need to or not depends on how hard/soft your paint is and your technique. I'd certainly plan on using a second polishing step, as I do even when using products milder than IP. But use a real polish, not a paint cleaner like KAIO.

The whole "which pad" question is a whole 'nother ball of wax...the only way I ever effect good (and timely) correction via PC is with 4" pads. But I'd never expect any product to finish out ready-to-wax if I only used it with a yellow LC cutting pad; I'd expect to step down to a milder product on a polishing pad. Orange pads don't finish out ready-to-wax for *me*, but they apparently do for others :nixweiss
