Question on the color of leather trim interior

Purchasing new Lexus GX 460. Looking at either black leather trim or Sepia (tan) interior. Are there any advantages/concerns over one color over the other when it comes to wear and tear/longevity? I did a search but couldn`t find a related post! Thank you for any help as I`m clueless! I know regular maintenance is required.

In my Detailing experiences with all the Lexus line of very nice vehicles, I have seen no advantage in the color of the leather..
They use a very nice leather for sure..
Pick the color you will still want to see several years down the road and you will be fine..

I had a new IS350 a few years ago and those beautiful dove gray perforated heating and cooling seats were amazing !!!
Congrats on your new Lexus !

Thank you!

I believe you have a choice of real leather or their faux leather (Nuluxe). Even if you choose the real leather option, only the contact areas are real leather the rest is synthetic engineered faux leather.

I have the real leather in my current Lexus and prefer the lighter tan color for appearance and comfort (cooler) but you do need to be mindful of possible dye transfer issues being more visible. If you choose to go with the lighter color, I`d suggest using a water based fluorocarbon protectant quarterly to prevent dye transfer.
