Card Fan!
I was thinking of doing some detailing on the side. What is the best way to offer your services to someone without them feeling insulted. I would think you would have to aproach the situation delicately. By the way Im not looking to do this full time. Just want to do a few cars a month in some spare time. Thanks!!

Make a basic price list. Have the prices clearly printed on it, and make sure you add the cavet...Prices can change because of condition of vehicle!

I made my price list on my computer...printed about 100 copies and stapled them on telephone poles around my area. You would be suprised of the calls I got from this method!

If you do it this way, only interested parties will call and makes that awkward first encounter alot easier...

I haven't had much luck advertising...I simply recommend doing really good work and let the referrals take over. You may have to do family and friends at first.

Me too.

Make it a goal to discuss what services you offer with at least one new person a day. Don't sell, educate. Let them decide a course of action.
