Question for the Mobile Detailers

I am seriously considering going mobile with my detailing (right now I work at a smaller bulk shop, GRR, and do friends/family details out of my driveway.) I was wondering if any of you guys charge an extra couple cents per mile after XX miles?

I'm setting up a mobile rig. I'm not up-and-running yet but my potential pricing includes gas, vehicle maintenance, and depreciation. It really depends on population density where you live. After X amount of miles, to be predetermined by you, you not only have to charge for gas, etc. but also for your time. I guess the short answer would've been yes I will be charging more for going out of my area.

We have been doing mobile for more than 5 years now. Our pices are a little higher than the fixed location average in our service area. It is a cost we charge for the convience of our service which also addresses the fuel costs aswel,

I charge for anything over 20 miles one way. Not so much for the gas but for the drive time. Going into Dallas can be a real pain because of traffic. I also limit my weekly wash customers to a 15 mile radius, otherwise it really isn't profitable.
