I think i have the right person here. So first are you California Classic Car?

Next question if yes to above. I got an order from you and of course i did not go all the way through the box until today when cleaning up empty boxes in my garage. So i go to pour out all the peanuts and out comes a small bottle of a sample product of which i have no clue what it is so i have no idea how to try it. It is a small plastic bottle with a orangish colored product. When i put some on my fingers it feels very watery based and almost disappears when rubbed into my fingers like lotion. I am guessing this may be some sort of leather conditioner but again do not want to put it on something it isn't meant for.

Richard- My best guess is that is the new Poorboys Polish with Sealant which hasn't been released yet. I'm actually going to go use some in the next 10 minutes... good stuff!!
 
Ohhhh you got Polish with sealant.... It's a very nice product.... I love it on black.. Give it 3 days to cure and you see it get slicker and slicker...
It's an AIO type of product.. cleaner sealant
 
Ok so this get's used at what point? After Wax ? Before Polish?
I am guessing since the word sealant is in it that this is a after wax product but then the word polish throw's me off.

Ok steve has polish with xxxx(PwC)
so now he mad polish with sealant(PwS)
it can me used as a one steper
or a piant cleaner with protection(like AIO)
and then you would put on your sealent of wax what ever you wanted..
but it's a sealent so nothing for 12 hours..
 
I guess I don't have to answer this thread now :emlaugh::stuart: you've gotten your answer and the how to's also. This is not the final version so just try it and enjoy :)
Use it as a one step maintence final polish w/ sealant and/or set-up for either a sealant or paste wax. :yes:
 
Steve- I just used it with the PC on 5 and polishing pad. I was planning on topping with EX, should I wait for the sealant to cure or because I used it as a polish that I can top within a few hours?
 
Ok so i plan on detailing my wifes car this weekend hopefully and this is what i plan to do so maybe one of you can tell me at what point i use this product. since i am being rather thick headed right now and not understanding.

I plan to:
Wash
Clay
SSR1 to start with, then possibly even SSR2 she has some back scratches where someone drug a box across the trunk. I know if i use the SSR2 i will follow with SSR1.
Then CG Revive
Now is this the point that the Sample Product goes on? Or is this a substitute for the Revive? and If yes, Can i then follow with my Butter Wax and then a Sealant?

And Steve thanks for the sample.

if you are planning on topping it no waiting or cure time is needed...as a stand alone product yes .

Richard yes it would replace the Revive step and yes you can go directly to your LSP's. :)

You have your questions answered about most of your steps, but the above satement doesn't seem quite right to me.
I think you could use:
1. Butter Wax or a sealant.
2. A sealant and then Butter Wax.

If you use Butter Wax before a sealant, won't you compromise the bonding of the sealant?

Not to my undersstnding. But i could be wrong. Here is a few lines from the product description:

the final top-coat that goes over new cars, used cars, waxed or glazed surfaces or recently clayed surfaces to lock in the shine and protect against contamination, UV Rays and oxidation.

3X carnauba based formula for enhanced shine
anti Static formula discourages the settling of new dust
bring out the depth of the paint s color while the shine enhancers leave a glass-like mirror finish
no hard rubbing and scrubbing
great for maintaining already waxed cars

Based on what they say, you certainly are correct.
Their "Sealant" is the first one I have ever heard of that not only can be used over a glaze or a wax, but they even recommend it.
That's quite different than most sealants.
Anyway, good luck with the project. :)

This is for butter wax correct? Waxes can be applied over sealants and glazes. Since Butter Wax contains carnauba, the sealant above it won't be able to bond correctly. So it seems to me that Butter Wax is a liquid wax, the same as P21S and Natty's just in a liquid form I believe. But then there is EX and EX-P with one haveing carnauba in it aswell... So my advice would be to get everything all polished up (SSR's and like), PwS and then either a Sealant OR Butter Wax, just to make sure they will bond right.

I hear and understand what you guys are saying but this sealant contains carnauba. Here is the product name EXTREME TOP-COAT SEALANT+ 3X CARNAUBA

So what i have done now is contact the manufacture to determine if my procedure is incorrect. After all i want to do it right. So if in fact i am suppose to use the Extreme Sealant before the Butter Wax how is that going to then effect the shine that i get with the Butter Wax?? Or is using the Sealant and Butter Wax redundant? Also here is another piece clipped from the description:

I've not used the sealant that you have mentioned. But from my understanding how sealants work even though the sealant says it does contain carnuba, I would gather that the durability would be effected if you put it over a real carnuaba wax.

Personally it's never bothered me to put a carnuaba over a sealant :dnaughty
