Qty of Iron X for 3 Cars

How much Iron X do I need to cover 3 cars before decon with nanoscrub?

500 ml enough or do I need a litre?

Also, there are 3 pages of Iron X products. Which product do I go with?

If you were using it sparingly you could get 3 cars out of a 500ml, but if you use it like I do I'd go with the 1 liter. Especially for the small price difference + coupon code. I'd rather have extra leftover in case you need more than 1 application, or you want to use it as a wheel cleaner too.

I agree 100%

For a whole car, I use about 3/4 of a 500ml bottle it seems like. Just doing below the beltline, closer to 1/2. 1 liter would certainly give you some cushion depending on how much you plan to use on each car.

"It can be used as wheel cleaner too"

Is Iron X similar to Sonax Full Effect?

Similar in their ability to "eat" iron, but Sonax is primarily a wheel cleaner where as Iron X is primarily a decon product. That said, Avi (at CarPro) did mention that Iron X does have cleaners and surfactants in it so it will remove organic brake dust.

This is one product that I use more of than I expect all the time. I bought the 4 littler size (might be 5 liter-I am at work now cant check) and it was a great decision. I only use this product 1x per year on my cars usually after the winter when it starts to warm up and I get them ready for the season or if I am going to polish and coat a car.

I used just under half of the 500 ml bottle on a Nissan Murano but wasn't spraying it on heavy. I wish I would have ordered the bigger size too but at least now I know for next time. So you made a good decision getting the bigger one.

One last question, would I use Iron X in the spring on a car that has Opti-Coat 2 applied? I assume iron will get into OC the same as factory paint.
