QT = teh new hotness, 7-11 = old and busted

I <3 QT. But then again I've yet to see a 7/11 here in GA.

But man, QT during the summer? Cheap drinks ftw.

I went to a QT's when I first moved to Houston in '95. I was finding my way around town and thought I had stumbled upon a "gentlemen's club." It looked just like a million hole-in-the-wall go-go bars that I was used to from back in New Jersey. Upon entering, there were, as would be expected, all guys sitting around the bar. I soon realized, however, that there were no girls dancing for them...and they were pretty friendly to strangers... :shocked

It was nothing like 7/11

...and I sure as he# wasn't interested in a Slurpee

True words Scottwax..!

I use them a lot for my weekend winter job (picking up/delivering railroad crews to/from sidings). They are clean, well lit, have great selections of coffee, and decent snacks. Their gas prices are competitive too.

Good company with good marketing techniques.

No QT's out west? I have yet to come across one but if there are dancing girls , I'll keep looking

In NJ we have WAWA's....same concept..cheapest gas around.....I heard they actually break even or lose $ on the gas just to get people in the store to buy things.

Whatever they loose in gas I am sure they make up in coffee sales :grinno:

I love QuickTrip. It's like heaven after a detail job. Every store is big, bright, clean, organized, and surpasses every other convenience store by far. Nothing better than a big-honkin' QT cup full of your favorite beverage. Gas is the cheapest in town too.

And since this seems to be a new trend around here...

QT for teh win!!!!11

Oh boy! Is this becoming the new "Wal-mart" of convenience stores/gas stations???

:bolt

Pretty much, yes. Apparently, they pay pretty well too. Starting pay is $8 an hour at the ones in Arlington. They seems to hire mostly college aged kids and young adults.

Best of all, they have some seriously bright lights at night so you can check your paint for flaws......

...then drive home crying. :sadwavey:

I've never actually been in one before. I'll be sure to go in next time I see one. :up

I did see a QT with $1.89/gal gas in Plano, TX over Thanksgiving week though! (Just west of Park and 75.)
