It was pretty dirty so I thought ***, lets give it a try.

A few weeks back I had worked untold hours on the paint.

I got 2 gallons of warm water put in 4 oz of QEW and 5 hits from a bottle of body shine #49. Another bucket with warm water for rinse, maybe 3 gallons. 1 blue MF from sams. Cotton towels to dry.

Here are the before pics

You know the routine, 1 pass on any panel then flip the MF. So you get 8 passes before you rinse. Wipe off the panel w/ cotton towel. Then put MF back into QEW bucket.

I backed the car outside before using some Z6 to see what was up and cleaning the wheels with PB SNR.

I looked at every panel and didn't see any spiderwebbing or swirls.

I took the car back inside after wheel cleaning.

Z6, then Z8.

I was applying zaino to a black vette and I had some Z2pro left over, so I put another coat on the BMW and more Z8.

Sorry no pics after that.

You may want to invest in a sheepskin wash mitt or two (or ten) for use with QEW and all other soaps for that matter. In my experiences, the MF doesn't tend to "release" any grime from within its fibers, so the grime has a better chance of coming back in contact with the paint, IMO. Then again, we all use and love MF's for QD duty, so what's the difference there? :nixweiss

Having said that, I went several months using MF wash mitts and only had minor issues. I have since switched to sheepskin and feel much safer and have had zero issues.

How exactly did you clean the wheels using QEW? I can't see how the stuff is effective against brake dust and grime.

Sorry I cleaned the wheels the "old fashion" way. Some Poorboys Spray and Rinse and a hose.

I got a few sheepskin mits on the way.

I figured if the MF got real dirty, I would just grab another one.

I clean those PITA BMW wheels all the time with QEW. I have a regular with a '98 740. Just an nice assortment of brushes is all it takes.

Scott, Do you have a "set aside" mit for that?
