QEW vs. Spray and Wipe

After joining this group I found out about QEW. Have used this a few times now and find it to be a great product, one not to be without.

Would like to know what the differance is, if any, between QEW and Poorboy`s Spray and Wipe.

QEW as you know, is mixed into a bucket of water and then you use a mitt to wipe down the dry paint and them wipe each section dry. Poorboys Spray and Wipe is just that- a spray bottle that you apply to each panel and wipe dry. I prefer Spray and Wipe to QEW, just my opinion.

They are both good products, but your pricing is a little misleading.



1.) A gallon of Spray & Wipe is $30 after your initial order. The $15 price was for first time orders from Autopians. Still worth the money at $30.



2.) 32 oz. of QEW will make 32 gallons of QEW solution.



They really are two completely different types of products. One, S&W, being a true waterless wash, the other, QEW, being a low water use wash.

It so happens I find both of them handy to have on hand.

you are right. i was happy with the price that i forgot it was for a first time only. thankx for reminding



i don't think you can make solution with Q&E. i ask if they have it as spray, but with no luck.have you try that ?.

From the QEW instructions:

"NO RINSE APPLICATION.

Use ½ ounce (1 capful) of Quick & Easy Wash in a bucket with two quarts water for an average size car. Use one ounce per gallon for larger vehicles. Quick & Easy Wash safely loosens and lifts dirt eliminating the need to rinse with water. Wash a section at a time then just chamois, towel or squeegee dry."



Actually, I do put some of the solution in a spray bottle that I sometimes use to saturate a particular dirty area before hitting it with my chenille covered wash pad.

A while back Scottwax said to try 1/2 ounce of Quick Shine mixed with the QEW for a noticable increase in surface slickness. That way you can QD and wash at the same time. I don`t have QS but have used other QD products. This is a great tip and works well.
