QEW vs. Regular Wash Soap

After reading many, many thread on QEW, I think the main differences between QEW and regular car wash soap is; QEW has fewer suds, releases dirt from the mitt easier and does not require a seperate rinse. Is this correct?

Does QEW provide greater ability to lift soil from the surface? With a soil load on the car considered workable with QEW, would this car washed traditionally have a reduced risk of marring?

Another Question-

How much faster is using QEW than regular soap and water? If you lived in ideal conditions, which one would be better to use?

I think the main advantage to QEW is time, and not having to drag the hose out and use all that water. I think it just about cuts my washing time in half, and that gives me more time to do other detaing projects.

I agree...

Q: After reading many, many thread on QEW, I think the main differences between QEW and regular car wash soap is; QEW has fewer suds, releases dirt from the mitt easier and does not require a separate rinse. Is this correct?

A: QEW contains an Anionic, which is a synthetic agent that provides very low foaming (suds) with very efficient surface rinsing, while avoiding any re-depositing of the soils and eliminating any chemical surface â€Ëœfilmâ€â„¢

Q: Does QEW provide greater ability to lift soil from the surface?

A: Yes as QEW has a particular type of molecular structure that performs as a surfactant, these molecules form micelle structures; the hydrophobic (water-insoluble) hydrocarbon holds solids in suspension and prevents them from being redeposit. The hydrophilic (water-soluble) ionic reduces the soils to micro-sized particles to enable them to be flushed away.

Q: With a soil load on the car considered workable with QEW, would this car washed traditionally have a reduced risk of marring?

A: Yes as most car wash concentrates use synthetic cleaners that contain a surfactant

~Hope this helps~

In my opinion, a traditional wash is always the best. I tried a sample of qew a while back and while it worked ok, I'm sticking with my traditional method using soap/water and using poorboy's s&w.

Granet if water wasn't available then I probably would have a different answer.

If the car isn't very dirty, and you are going to follow up with a polish, then QEW is superior, because you won't get all those annoying drips for hours afterwards.

I can do a traitional wash in almost the same time as QEW anyway, so 95% of the time, I'll reach for the hose, right to zero degrees Celsius.
