QEW safe for new paint?

i just got my Cobra back from the body shop, getting a new front bumper and some fresh paint. They said just to wash the car but not do anything else for 30days. i heard of using dawn, but is it okay to use QEW on the paint?:confused:
 
QEW will be more gentle than Dawn. Isn't the concern with fresh paint that if you wax it, the wax will prevent the paint from properly curing? Seems to me that as long as you use a wash that leaves nothing behind--it is just a wash--then you'll be fine. QEW, as far as I know, has no gloss enhancers or anything else that will be left on the paint.



This is really just a guess but I am curious. I'll be watching the thread. :)
 
Is QEW like a breathable protectant? How does it make the paint shiny without lots of wax? I always wonder, I know the fresh paint has to breath out the fumes for a while so it can harden up and stick to the primer so i never use a real wax or sealant until its been in the sun and heat for like a month or so
