QEW ONR DP am I the only one that prefers QEW :)

Last year was first time I tried this type of product. I picked up a gallon of QEW, then orders 3 galllons. I don't use it all the time in my business but I use it often enough. A while back I tried a 32oz bottle of ONR. Ignoring the smell I tried it a couple times and didn't like it. The bottle sat around for a while and eventually I used it up. I just couldn't toss it out. As we neared winter I decided to try DP4in1. Winter was when I used the most QEW last year and before I orders a few gallons, I wanted to try DP out. Certainly smells better the ONR. I've tried it out a few times and still prefer QEW. I keep reading others reviews on the products and seems like most prefer one of the others over QEW.

Now for me QEW seems to glide when I'm using it. The dirt seems to release from the paint and whatever I'm using to wash with better too. Wondering if water hardness affects things. I think our water is moderately soft 4-6 grains. Whichever product I used though I couldn't tell any difference by looking at the car afterwards. All three did the job, just QEW currently is my choice.

I've only tried QEW and ONR, but I also prefer QEW (with a little S&G mixed in).

After using QEW for a while I tried ONR as everyone seemed to like it better. I still prefer QEW and the ONR messes with my rainx. The water droplets want to cling to the windows more.

Haven't tried the "new kids on the block" because QEW works well for my limited uses.

I already ordered my ONR, but I have never heard anything negative about the QEW.



Does the QEW work also as a QD and clay lube? I would assume it would, but looking for some input from those that have used it as such. I'm really looking forward to using the ONR for winter washes...putting it in a garden sprayer to soak down the truck prior to a clean water only rinse at the coin-op is going to help my Duragloss and Collinite last through the winter.

QEW (4 capfuls in 16oz distilled H2O) is a great and cost effective clay lube. :hifive:

ive been using my gallon of qew (first purchase from danase) for the first time and find very little effectiveness differences between it and onr. smells different works the same imo.

I used QEW for around 13, maybe 14 years. Since using ONR, what I had left of QEW is just sitting. ONR makes the paint feel noticably slicker, cleans the glass more effectively at wash dilution and great as a stand alone glass cleaner at QD dilution. Nothing wrong at all with QEW, but I like ONR more.

QEW is one product that I was *glad* to find an alternative to. It used to wreck my hands some awful AND I had a good amount of streaking with it when the temps. were higher. I don't have these issues with ONR so I buy it by the case now.

Scott you can send me the old QEW. I have many detailing products (i.e 3M polishes and Glazes, EX series, Meg, etc) just sitting also. Maybe we can trade and use up these products.

a couple caps of QEW in a 16 oz spray bottle works wonder on bird poop. In most cases a couple sprays and the poop starts to dissolve.

I prefer QEW to the optimum no rinse as In my findings it responds better to the dab drying method and seems to leave my finish slicker than ONR.

Agree on all points. I had some bad streaking in the summer with QEW. Otherwise it's a fine product, I just prefer ONR.

Based on my first experiance, I'd have a tough time switching. Kinda like discovering 303 Aerospace Protectant (not much point in experimenting any further with other products).

I also like the different mix ratios for wash, QD and clay lube.

Besides, I'm thinking this gallon will last awhile.

stating unequivocal allegiance to any one brand is bad for competition. Makers need to constantly improve their product. If they know everyone is comitted to them they won't be inclined to take chances and improve their product. Otherwise we'd all be using turtle wax.
