QEW and bug removal advice?

If you are using QEW and you come across a car that has a lot of bug and tar that needs to be removed what do you reccomend? Should I wet with water then apply a bug and tar remover, than scrub and then use QEW? OR should I wet with a spray bottel of QEW and allow to soaK?

By the way I used QEW for the 1st time today and by using all the threads on QEW it went great!! I used the method of QEW w/ QD, a chenille mit, wiped w/ a terrycloth, MF and all was good!

I've used QEW on very heavy bug residue. I used it per directions and that removed most of the bugs. Like a normal wash I do it a second or third time until most or all the bugs come off. It worked OK for me.

As for tar, I'd QEW wash to remove dirt, bugs, etc then determine how much tar is on there, remove that with a tar remover, then QEW again to remove residue. Again, not much different than what you'd do on a normal wash.

That seems like good advice, I bet it would pay to probaly soak the tough areas using a spray bottle first then QEW the car.

Do you find on tires that if you use the QEW & some non-acidic tire cleaner that it works just fine using the left over water?

Thirdly, do you use any type of grit guard system for your QEW water?
