PwS + Other Sealant

A few weeks ago I did a post about using PoorBoy's World Polish with Sealant (PwS) for the first time.

I was really impressed with the PwS and I've since used it on another car. I plan to use it more when the weather warms up here.

I started thinking about the PwS and how it leaves behind a slick layer of Sealant. Could it be topped with another sealant for more protection? I'm thinking of DP Sealant, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant or PB EXP.

Would it be a good idea?

I would assume you could follow the rules of any sealant and top it off with another...

Its not warm in Texas?

They may have a different definition of warm than we do

It was 24 degrees in my part of Texas yesterday. This is not minus temperatures but would still be difficult to attempt a detail when conditions like this exist.

Reddwarf...I certainly believe that an application of a sealant would be just fine after PwS.

Yep you're right 24 is cold.
So where is this global warming thing :D

I think the global warming is affecting Iowa this year. So far we have been lucky enough to have a fairly mild winter.
The low temperature so far this January has only been 11 degrees below zero. And yes, that is Fahrenheit.
For those that like to read big numbers, that would be about -24 Centigrade.

Oh yeah, IMO, PwS makes a great prep for sealant or wax.

Sure you can definitely top it with another sealant. I used PwS under 2 coats of EX on a friends car over the weekend. I find it best if you let the PwS cure overnight before adding another sealant.

Is this for durability, easier application of the topper, to reduce/eliminate streaking or for some other reason?
I haven't used PwS a lot, but I have been using it just like I did/do Klasse AIO and Optimum Poli Seal. Use the PwS as a cleaner and polish, (with some protection thrown in), and follow it immediately with my LSP.

Thanks for all the comments! I suspected it would be okay to top PwS with a sealant and ya'll confirmed it!

We do a different definition of cold here. It doesn't get cold like up North, but the past several days have been cold by our standards! Lows in the 20's and highs in the 40's. Today is cloudy and rainy with a high of 46. Tomorrow is a high of 42.

Like they all said, you can top it with most sealants or waxes. I would suppose there are a few products that might not be agreeable ;)

Talking about cold..16* on my way in today :wow: :passout:
