PWC Blue and Nattys Black on a Mustang

Yes I did follow the letter M with something other than -opar, lol

this is the 5th vehicle ive detailed for the owner who once had a yellow jacket 392 m6, then a shelby gt500 m6 as well of course, but traded for this about 2 years ago, its auto but im proud to say this vehicle has no curb marks on it ;)
although the front drivers side bumper and fender seem to be in a slight disagreement with lining up properly-perhaps it was already bracing for the aforementioned curb

this is mainly my moms ride but it is owned by her boyfriend who admittedly says its "a gurly car" and my mom says she teases him saying "lets go look at hellcats today" which i scolded her for teasing him with, haha

anyways i had been wanting to clean it up for a while. they`ve had it about two years now and once they got it i washed it and put on two layers of exp. shes been using super slick and wax to bucket wash and rw with uber and using some good towels i have given her but for a while they were taking it through tunnel washes and ive seen them post pics on Facebook after washing it while holding bath towels, lol

either way the plan was to wash, clay, black hole and exp again but once i washed it I had to give something else a try

pb sss wash, bug squash, bug towels
pb clay and clay lube
dmts dmmts umts
poorboys glass
spray and gloss
pbl prep polish and window coating
bold n bright on tires/trim
spray and rinse on wheels
rupes p808 on wheels
pb chrome polish on tips
probably forgot something
top steam cleaned and lint rolled but couldnt find my 303 protectant to use

hood: used my 21 mk2 and urofiber pad
nano and mini with uro fiber pads as well
pwc blue, then nattys black and chilled spray and gloss as wipeup

rest of vehicle: pwc blue and uro tech maroon pad, mini and rupes uhs pad, nano and urofiber where needed

two coats of nattys black on the vehicle except for hood which probably ended up with 7 or 8 coats over two days.

this is a sun shot of half the hood finished with just the pwc blue

everything else is after nattys black

video of my 50/50 on hood after pwc blue+ one layer of nattys

and the side door (same, just pwc b and one blk)

----final shots
keep in mind its not perfect paint, but for less than 10k miles this car was pretty bad and just pwc blue and some nattys black really made a huge improvement

now with my mon theu friday schedule im hoping to be able to make it back home every 3 or 4 months to try and maintain it with some black hole and more nattys or possibly EXc layering

and a few videos....

a quick review since I`ve never used pwc blue before

smell:fantastic, reminded me of nattys blue

cut: cut very nicely with the uro fiber, uhs pad and the uro tech maroon as well as uhs pad on mini and finished with no markings left by pad and with lots of gloss from the pwc blue

pwc blue alone leaves a nice slick shiny surface but it`s almost mandatory that pne would follow up with nattys black or ex

dusting, didnt really get any that wasnt related to the last pass with each pad before i realized i needed to change pads out

longevity? no idea, just hoping they can stave off adding a lot more swirls to it.

gave her another drying towel, some micros, a bottle of drying aid spray wax i had extra of

im happy to be able to offer this combo as my standard black exterior polishing package and very happy with the results given considering this is an all in one with a paste wax on top

thanks for viewing

Not sure how that `Stang is considered a "gurly car," but WOW you sure made it look great Brandt!

Love your enthusiasm and the awesome detailing posts you put up. Keep up the great work and putting your results online for all of us to drool over!

Car looks great! I love PB stuff, been around for ever and still going. Good to see you got your M-F schedule after all.

Great work Brandt on a daily driver and non-Mopar ;) Thanks for the pictures and videos they are super.

Many commercial detailers use PwC blue as their one step product .. for cars with light colors or metal flake they usually use PwS.

Average longevity, reported with almost 15 year in use, is anywhere from 3-9 months .. there are too many variables to get exact time.

Looking good man.

I`m about to start month 4 on PwS on my Yaris` roof. :)

Love using this stuff....soooo easy to work with (and sun friendly!)

Brandt`s working on Ford`s, he`s moving up in the world. ;) Heck, next thing you know he`ll be polishing white Corvettes. :yourrock
