I polished this one back in March. One of the rear bumper covers got scratched pretty good, so the client took it in to have the small cover repainted. He told them "DO NOT WASH THE CAR!"

Well they washed it and the clients careful washes did not matter anymore.

The swirls where "minimal" but enough for the client to call me back out.

Sorry for the lack of before pics.

Man - all's it takes in 1 douchebag with a bucket and a scrub brush to keep our job security going. Great job as always!!!

Thanks David!

Of course the body shop told the client, "We handle hundreds of cars like yours every year and have never had this problem."

Welcome to the world of educated clients Mr bodyshop owner. :woohoo:

Great looking recovery! I swear that I've been in that neighborhood before while visiting my brother at xmas. lol

The car looks fantastic. KBM is working great for ya. Good to see M205 finishes out nicely with a black pad a nd PC. What pads are you using? I have to reinvest in pads as all mine are 4" pads and from what I gather KBM needs bigger pads

Thanks guys!

I use the Lake country classic flat 6.5" in orange and black for the KBM. Sometimes I use the white too.

i hear it all the time... should we detailers properly educate body shop owners? is it in our duty?

I have an Audi R8 customer that I've taught to wash his own car. He did it very well, but he brought it to service once and now scratches galore! Just goes to show how sensitive these finishes really are...
