Protecting Bare Metal.

What do I use to Protect bare metal from rusting? I have a set of steel Caliper Brackets for a set of Baer Brakes That look like they are bare metal, Can I put something on them to protect them?

Depending on the texture you could paint, clear coat, wax or carefully spray a WD-40 like product.

Paint could be a good choice.



Galvanizing is another option.
