Hi guys!!

A little about me: my name is Andrew and I live in Austin, TX. I am currently a full time student in an engineering degree plan. I spent four years in the Marines with 2 combat deployments and after I got out, I took over ownership of my moms MK3 Supra. Unfortunately it had sustained many years of sitting on the driveway, immobile and exposed to the elements. I did what I could to restore her and the Ice Blue Metallic Supra is currently undergoing an engine rebuild. I also purchased a BLACK 1992 Lexus SC400 to daily drive... and I thought dealing with 24 year old paint was bad. However I did what I could to fix what was (to me) an apparently horrid attempt to repaint half of the SC *facepalm. After having been told by freinds and acquaintances repeatedly that I do amazing work with keeping my old cars looking good despite bad paint, I decided to extend my services to others. My thirst for knowledge has led me to this forum. Right now, I am keeping my services at a basic level, washing, claybar treatment, waxing, polishing, etc. However, I am eager to expand my repertoire to include advanced detailing techniques. I hope to expand my small personal venture into a legitimate business in the future.

I will be spending lots of time browsing this forum in the next few weeks absorbing all the info and knowledge I can. Once I get my hands on some equipment/material, I plan on practicing my techniques on the SC. I'll just leave a couple photos here of my two babies.

Sorry I don't have any recent fullbody shots. I wish so much I had a car with new untarnished paint -_-

Anyways, glad to be here and I look forward to learning from the best.

Welcome to Autopia! Your cars look great, it looks like you do a good job!

However, don't think that just because a car is new that it has untarnished paint. I just got mine yesterday, brand new (didn't even sit on the lot one day), and it has horrid water spots, and some micro-marring. Nothing some light polishing and clay barring won't take off, but still not perfect like you'd think a new car should be!

Thanks guys!!!

haha, I can handle some light stuff, but straight up chips and clearcoat failure sucks!! (both of my cars are suffering from clear coat failure :'(...)

Welcome Andrew! Also welcome back from the sandbox! I did 14 years with 2 stints out there so I for one am glad your back! :usa

I did my active duty time down in Ft Hood and I absolutely love Austin!

Your rides look sweet, especially the Supra!

I'm pretty much a newb still and this place has a wealth of info just waiting for your eyes!

Enjoy the stay

Sean
