Pros - How do you do it?

Set up a pricing scale based on what you wish to make per hour! Also remain competitive in you area. Offer additional service if you have it...

I typically cut myself a check every other week for the amount I need to make it, i.e. "the minimum." I started my business last March and have a monetary goal to reach in my business account before I start paying myself the big dollars :) I typically pay myself around 30%. . . . there is certainly a bit of operational overhead right now.

You pay yourself by pricing your detailing services somewhere between what you need to make in order to cover expenses and what you want to make in order to make a reasonable profit.

I am a sole proprietor and my expenses are pretty low being mobile so I don't really 'pay' myself. I do keep track of what I spend on detailing and related expenses though for tax purposes.
