Properly applying OPT Poli-Seal, how to??

What is the best method of applying poli-seal? Today, I attempted the pc7424/red and pc/gray. Neither one of them actually put a "coat" of wax on the car. There was a little bit of transfer on the paint, but not really what you would call a "coat".



How do yall apply it? If climate matters, I am in the North Texas area.

If your looking for visual signs like hazing than your not going to see that. Poliseal will leave a very clear residue behind as you polish. You won't see much nor will you have to wipe away much.



And btw, poliseal doesn't leave any wax behind. It leaves a sealant hence the poli-"seal".
 
Yes. I applied the product first conservatively to the pad. With no result, I started applying more at a time. It does not smear on and make a coat. I try to buff it on, but it seems like the pad is absorbing it and not going onto the paint. I tried spraying Pinnacle conditioner on the pad, then applying the Poli-seal, still no bueno. I properly prepped the surface, first I clayed it, then did a IPA wipedown twice to ensure there was nothing left on it.



Ideas anyone? This is really starting to tick me off.

edit: PS acts more like M105 V1, and breaks down immediately.
 
If you wanna see it just put it on by hand and use the PC to buff it off. You'll waste a lot, but if it makes you feel better it'll be worth it, right?

Aculally poli-seal has caranuba in it so its not a real sealent.I love this product as a 1 stepper as it has a little cut to it but it works pretty good as a lsp also.
 
Hmmm you might be right about the wax thing. I was always under the impression it was just a sealant.



I just checked the AG description and it mentions "wax", but not carnauba specifically. Ill have to check my bottle when I get home.

So what yall are saying is that even though I can not visulally see it, it is still working?



Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I have never had application "problems" like this before.

Its not a problem, that's just the way it works.



I don't mind it, actually I prefer it, since there so much less to remove.

If you use it with a more agressive pad you can see the correction easier.
 
Use your back window as your test area. Here I am able to show myself and others that yes something is going on before it flashes off to clear. It's still working you just can't see it, but it is working. Or find a couple of good swirl areas, hit'em with Poli and see that they have been reduced or totally gone.

Look at the bottle it says it has caranuba,mineral spirits and silicone fluids.....but i still love the stuff.
 
Poli-Seal is designed to work invisibly. It is present on the surface, you just can't see it. Takes a bit to get used to it, but it works this way nevertheless.



Judge its presence with the feel of the pad. If it feels lubricated, it is there. Trust the product. Weird at first, completely normal later.



So, OPS won't leave any residue, and you don't have to remove basically anything.
