Project Purple People Eater!

Client brought me his G wagon for some love. I was supposed to do his brand new Heritage edition 911 Targa, but he switched things up on me! Paint had the usual swirls, lots of water marks/etching and a few scuffs. Paint is a special color edition from MB. Had the usual swirls, water spots/etching and a few scratches.

The ‘details’:

Gary Dean shampoo.
McKee’s37 Iron Remover.
Adam’s wheel cleaner.
Adam’s tire and rubber cleaner.
Medium clay mitt.
McKee’s37 hydro blue pro/Si02.
Scangrip lighting.
DeFelsko PTG.
Flex 3401.
Flex pixie.
Griot’s Fast Correcting Cream.
Griot’s Perfecting Cream.
Optimum Panel Wipe.
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.
GYEON tire.
Metro vacuum.
Auto Finesse glass cleaner.
McKee’s37quick interior detailer.
McKee’s37 total interior cleaner.

Thanks for looking!

Hmmm. A Barney colored Teutonic military vehicle. Good job but it would take a pretty penny for me to be seen in that beast.

Sizzle Chest:
What time of the day do you wash your vehicles that you detail? It looks like early-mid morning so you can take advantage of the shade from the garage or home structure and , I imagine, the "cooler" morning temps in Florida.

Also, does that wheel cleaner and iron decon discolor your cobblestone driveway?? I have some stains on my concrete driveway from acid wheel cleaner used on very badly neglected brake dust-encrusted rims that will last almost 2 months.(Ah, the joys of doing high-mileage daily drivers!) Or do you power-wash your driveway now and then?
I don`t; just garden hose with spray nozzle and some degreasing soap.

Also, what do you use to stand on to get to the top of high-profile vehicles, like this M-B G63?? i don`t think I have seen a platform step ladder in any of the photos, even in the background. Do like your chair with wheels, though, that must get a workout on all the low-profile sport cars you do, even if they are elevated on the pneumatic lift jack you have.

How did you clean this trim? It looks pretty water spotted! I also assume that the trim is covered with the 22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.

Speaking of
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte, I see you use this coating on almost EVERY vehicle you post. Is this coating only available to certified installers (detailers) such as yourself?? I do not see see it listed as something available through detailing resellers/distributors who sell 22ple.

Nice work on the Purple People Eater! I often wonder how long it takes you to detail such a vehicle, but after doing the BMW 740Li and the M-B S500 Coupe recently, I think you must be getting use to bigger vehicles. Cannot wait for the detail pics on the
Marathon Coach Show Coach #1309 motor home you will be doing (yes, you need to google it to see why). Hey, isn`t that owned by the SAME person who had those Porsche GT3`s with the number "23" on them?? Captain Obvious` new corollary; "The best motor homes in the world get detailed by the best detailers in the world." (Just say, "NO")

Very Nice!

Great work!

Thanks Mike!

Lonnie: I get started usually before sunrise.
Nope. Pavers are sealed and just need to be pressure washed once in a while to keep em clean.
I use a couple small step ladders.
I do like my detailing chair. Comes in handy...a lot!
Trim was cleaned with Adam`s tire and rubber cleaner. Wiped with Optimum panel wipe and then coated.
Yes, that is their professional offering.
That`s some RV! HUGE! And super luxurious!
