Products you like that people generally don't talk about?

Chemical Guys Metal Shine

Ridiculous shine and cleaning ability on aluminum especially. Takes very little work and comes off by hand with little to no effort.

I like Folex as well, but my fav is Bio-Kleen Traffic Lane Cleaner. It does an amazing job, but not as accessible as Folex.

I agree, not necessarily on the specific brand of TLC but rather on the concept of using commercial task specific products. The TLC I use dilutes 4 ounces to the gallon. My product is also readily available locally. This product is more efficient than an OTC RTU product such as Folex.

This is no negative rap on Folex or the Biokleen products. I will still occasionally use Folex for spot cleaning and I love BacOut by Biokleen.

I'd like to hear more about this 'System X' stuff. I have no idea why it isn't on here yet...

Like I said, I applied it on July 7th. Since then, I know of it being washed exactly one time, and that was just last week when I washed it. It was pretty amazing to hit it with the hose and watch the water scatter. When I went to dry it, I used a gas leaf blower, and the water was gone in a few seconds. I've never seen water scatter like that. I thought that when I used the blower on my car, which had Autoglym HD on it, that THAT was fast water scatter. This was even faster. So far it's holding up extremely well and I really like it. Depending on how long it lasts, it's a steal at it's current price.

That's great man, what about the shine? Does it have a nice glossy or reflective shine? I understand this stuff can be layered too

I'm starting to like the poorboys polish with carnauba wax. I had a customer ask me to hide some scratches after he just got done taking his F-250 out in the middle of the sticks for a joyride. It scared the crap outta me because I had a hard time figuring out how the hell I was going to hide all those small scratches, thank god I had poorboys polish with carnauba wax, it turned that scratched up can into a diamond:cool:

1.blue magic metal polish creme. stinks from amonia but it works great. awsome product that also can get you a lil dizzy lol. what. we all dont smell products? i do for sure!

2.#000, #0000 steel wool to polish exhaust tip black boogers. why do i always see people struggling to clean an exhaust tip with polishes & other junk? save time & go straight for the steel wool, then hit it up with some metal polish. finish off with some rejex or another product that claims its good for high temps is FK 1000P paste wax. in the UK some detailers use it on theyre wheels to prevent a heavy brake dust buildup!

3. 3M Ultrafine Machine Polish. why do people still hate on this polish?

4. Joy soap for shampooing carpets.

5. Black WOW!! seems like other trim dressings have taken off & this is being used less? screw it, i still love Black WOW & i still use it bc its awsome!

6. Meguiars Endurance Tire Gell! still one of the bests & it smells like welches grape soda! no, i havent tasted it but ive sniffed it till my nose couldnt smell the grapeness anymore!

thats all i can think of for now!

Good stuff, but I wipe it down immediately after applying otherwise it's too glossy for my taste. On my tires, it seems to last a long while. And the smell and consistency is very similar to my bottle of CG Bare Bones..... Maybe I'll dilute it and try it on wheel wells too.

nah you dont dilute endurance gel lol. i do wipe it down to get an even covering.

Ive wondered the same thing. To each their own I guess :notme:

because people think 3M = belongs only in the body shop but thats completely false. i guess i use it bc its the product line that i was tought how to wetsand, compound & polish paint with.

I meant diluting it only for wheel wells. Or is that what you meant?
for wheel wells a water based dressing is good bc you can cut it & stretch the product out. i dont think you can do this with endurance tire gell. endurance is kind of thick.

+1 on the Element 119 SystemX! I used about 4 oz of an 8 oz bottle to doo my Expedition. It is easier to apply than OC and can be corrected and reapplied without stripping the panel. Leaves a great hydrophobic finish, I boosted it with Permanon Platinum which is amazingly easy to use.

I also +1 Brown Royal Wheel & tire Cleaner. Best Ive ever used and is super cheap.
I will add ClearMoose Quick Shine for glass and Megs All Season Dressing for wheel wells and undercarriage. A great AIO is DG 105 over 601.

Another one I like is new version Optimum Tire Shine. Very easy and not messy. Opti Bond gets a lot more pub IME.
