I second this. I ended up throwing out have a container because I didn't like it. I decided not to use dedicated products for my wheels. If its good for my paint I'll use it on the wheels too

My Solution for this is Opti-Seal. Easy to apply and good durability.

Oh, my goodness! You don't like Amazing Roll Off? Based on others' rave reviews, I just bought a gallon but haven't used it yet.

Mother's Plastic Polish
Poorboy's Wheel Sealant- mine separated like no tomorrow, was messy, and didn't last at all.

With a statement like that about PB products, why do you feel that way & what you think is better?

I haven't really found anything that I did not like. The products did do what they advertised, problem is some products just do it better. I think the biggest disappointments have come from tire dressings. They run, sag, or dry splotchy. I really have not found one that is truly Spray and Forget.
 
I dont like windex. I know it's not a car product, but I've never had luck cleaning any typ of glass with it. I know there are some detail products i didnt like but I either don't remember or they arenKt made anymore. I didnt like the previous version of the Wolfgang sealant.
 
Hard to say, many great products out there. If it doesn't work for you then try another is what I say.

Windex as far as I'm concerned will not go anywhere near a car, the ammonia in it eats up window tint:mad:
 
Its funny to see what some dont like. I love Mothers clay, it was the first clay I ever bought. For a well maintained vehicle its seems to work well, ie on my cars. It very pliable and I never noticed any marring.

I can agree with this statement, I havent used anything that has caused any harm from the product alone.

Tire and trim dressing seems to be about the weakest category of car care products. With all this new nano coating hopefully someone makes something that is glossy and last a good while on trim.

think there is another way we can look at this - and that is products that you do not like becasue they are hard to use. In that class I would have to be the sealants, for me. I have used about 3 now and my main go to; Ultima, needs to go on as if you're not really putting it on - in other words, THIN.If you put it on too thick so you can see where you put it, it leaves a smear. Not a big deal, but the holy grail of sealants for me would be one that acts like ultima's gloss but goes on with a but more lubricity, shows like an oil so you can see coverage, and then levels as it dries to a perfect shell. Tire dressings the same way, as said above, some are downright icky to put on....I also am still looking for a complete flat matte dressing for my dash which would KILL reflection of the dash on the windshield. PB Natural look is close, but not there yet...

This is what I've been doing. I'll use a sealant that I use on the paint for my wheels.
 
Not too many have really hit that "dislike" button, but there are a few

~ Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel. It slings like crazy and is quite runny
~ DP Wheel Glaze: Was a serious PITA to remove and did not seem to last long at all. Have not tried the new version however. (If it was updated when all the labels / bottles were changed)
~ Mothers back to black: runny and washes away leaving nice marks on any thing but black paint
 
Poor Boys Trim Restorer. It works, but it runs when it rains and does not work as well as my UTTG.

I also had problems with Poor Boys EXP setting up like concrete on my Volvo. Tried it a couple times being mindful that thinner is better and it just didn't work for me.

I love their Bug Squash, Black Hole and Wheel Sealant. All worked well. Natty's Red Wax was decent as well.

I would also add DoDo Juice Tarmalade. Very weak. Very disappointing.
 
There is one I absolutely will NOT use again:

Forever Black "Tire Gel",WAY TOO MESSY!
As a matter of fact,I have a un-used/opened container if someone wants it :headspin
 
Lucas Speed Wax
GG One-Step Sealant- flashed ungodly quick, not too much success with it, hardly any protection
Rain-X - I've switched to accuvision for its ease of application and the fact that its a cleaner too; window doesn't have to be flawless first



When it comes to all the dislikes for tire and trim dressings, I've really grown to like Meg's All Season applied with a misting sprayer. Leave it as is for gloss or use a tire swipe to bring it down to more of a matte.
 
I know I dont have alot of posts on here but been active on detailing forums since 2006 my home is autopia so dont think i am hacker using autozone products :-).

I have a TON of products some of my first purchases was poorboys because of price and the kit i purchased

All of them have not performed for me IMO natty blue is garbage wheel sealant was useless and very hard to apply. bold and brite didnt last a few days. wheel cleaner had no bite for dirty wheels.

the only thing was acceptable was natural look but didnt buy it again after first purchase

I love OPT but there polishes dont hold a hat to menz or megs
