Went through my gear yesterday, and noticed I wasnt using too much of certain products.



We've all see the threads about which best product in arsenal,, how about worst !? or least used..





For me :



Menzerna FTG glaze,, (just sits there and havent found many uses for it probably a waste of cash....would use mothers sealer glaze or my Megs#7)
 
I just switched to a total Zaino System a few weeks ago and I can see (if I stick with Z) where it will obsolete just about every car wash, qd, 3M, Meg, 1Z, FK, Klasse, Optimum, carnauba and glaze product that I have in my basement. That's an alarming amount of $$$ considering my investment in detailing. If Zaino gives me 5-6 months of protection, I will say bye-bye to the above list.



Menzerna polishes, Meg #00/#34, some interior and tire protectants are the only products that I will carry over.
 
Porta, why are you dissatisfied with the PO85RD and the CTI? Could you elaborate more on that, especially focusing on the CTI? This is one further sealant which I wanted to try...

Haha I was reading very wrong! I though the topic was "Products I can´t live without" :doh



CTI sealant is a great sealant! Gives a very slick surface, better then FMJ and much cheaper, the durability is waay better then FMJ.



Go and buy some!
 
Autoglym Paint Renovator.



Seems to work fine as a harsher abrasing than Super Resin Polish, I've just very rarely needed it. SRP isn't perfect but it seems to do the job in most cases.
 
All of my hook and loop pads, it's not that I can't use them I just don't use them since I've switched to the E2K system. They'll likely come in handy when my kid starts buffing his own car.

I can personally live without glazes. My experience is mostly with RMG, and the results are only marginally better than without. Most of the time it is not worth the extra step.



I could probably live without QD also, mostly just use it to clean up bird bombs.
 
Interesting how some products are loved by some and not-so by others, I couldn't live *without* RMG. On the other hand I agree that FTG just isn't worth the time especially considering how well Menzerna polishes finish down. I also don't really find myself using any of the SSR's anymore.

What does CTI stand for? Thanks
 
SSR2.5. I'm sure it's because I'm not completely up to snuff on technique, but man, that schtuff just loaded up the pad and chunked and dusted and smeared....



Oh yeah, and it really didn't take much of anything out at all.
