products with pc

so pretty soon im going to be buying a PC 7424 :woohoo: , i just wanted to know what products would go good with it... what are some of the more common products people buy when buying a PC to remove scratchs and swirls and what not :think: also i have a bottle of "Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish (Step 2)" you guys think this polish is any good with the PC? or should i just buy another one?...



here are some of the products i was thinking of buying with the PC:



new backing plate

some pads (which ones you guys recommend? and what product to use with them, dont want to mix)

SSR 1

SSR 2.5

S100

some sealant and maybe some glaze (recommendations?)

Optimum compound is bada$$ with the PC ..

5" backing plate and 6" pads .

I like edge pads myself . Haven't used the 2k system yet though .

I haven't used the Sonus pads or the SSR line, but others seem to like them.



I'd get a small backing plate and some 4" pads, they're *much* more effective for marring removal than the larger pads as the PC doesn't bog down as much.



The DC#2 basically *is* a glaze, despite it's name. It's nonabrasive. I dunno about using a glaze before a sealant, but if you choose a Meguiar's sealant it oughta work OK as their products are supposed to be compatible. DC#2 should work fine by PC.
 
I use the SSRs and like them very much.



As for a sealant, I'd recommend Wolfgang sealant or 4* UPP. They are both extremely easy to use and look great. Both are very slick too.
