Product packaging

Hmmm Yup if I ever get a rotary thats a kit I def will want to buy. Menzerna is OEM stuff so a rotary is definitely in order

woob:

I'm using a PC & LC pads, very pleased with the results. Everything in the Menzerna kit that PAC sells is PC "friendly".

The only product that I know of that is intended for rotary use is Power Gloss.

I've used IP, FPII, FTG, and FMJ. Only product in the kit I haven't touched yet is the car wash shampoo.

here's a link to the entire product line:

Yeah, the 1z polishes are in the old skool tins which are visually appealing, but dispensing is a royal PITA.
Also I find with the Sonus QD that the bottle is very fatiguing on your wrist and hand to use for extended periods.

Both great products by the way, just not all that user friendly unfortunately.....

never used any of the 1Z products but I'm sure I'll try them eventually.

Sounds like the packaging is as shaky as Klasse.

Yeah wow didn't realize how good they are for pricing and shipping by USPS. Question, do the Clear PET Bottles crack easily? They are noted as glasslike plastic. But then again the HDPE Natural Plastic bottles are better. :dunno I like how some are clear.

No. They won't crack. They are a soft flexible, but ridged construction. (Now there's an oxymoron :) ) I just thought of another problem solution. From now on when I go on vacation I'm going to fill a 6-oz bottle with my car wash soap. At the recommended 1-oz per wash I'll have enough for 6 washes and it won't take up nearly as much space in the car.
They are cheap aren't they? And no minimum order. From my experience I'd say, don't get in a hurry though. I'm 30-miles away from them and it took nearly 15-days to ge to me.

sgo so the clear PET bottles are okay to order? As strong as the HDPE plastic? Or durable enough if I dropped it on the ground, not that I would of course :D

:wait I'm talking about the "Natural HDPE Plastic Bottle 4oz w/ Fliptop" as described on the link here. Sorry about the confusion, but I thought the web page showed the HDPE bottle.

sgo - I've been using a top like the one on those and had problems with the "spout" clogging with product. What's been your experience?

Woob - I would not go for the clear bottles. Although they are "prettier" and come in different colours :cool, I would be afraid to squeeze them for fear of cracking. Maybe if you had something really thin that would just run out the spout on inversion, they would be fine.

norahcrv is right, stick with the HDPE bottles.

Clogging can be a problem. Here's what I do with these and musterd bottles. After dispensing, and while the spout is still open, I gently tap the bottle's bottom on a hard surface. This will cause the product, and musterd :) , to drain back into the bottle and clear the spout.

Thanks, sgo. I'll have to try that!!

Before I put away my spout bottles, I also tap the bottle to re-settle the contents. Then, I slightly squeeze the bottle a few times to use air pressure to fully clear out the spout and wipe away any excess product. Before closing the cap, I'll squeeze out just a bit of air then quickly close the cap to seal in that little bit of vacuum. Next time I open the lid, there will be a little rush of air into the bottle which gives me a freshly cleaned spout to work with.

I was going to suggest using an old, thoroughly cleaned mustard container but I thought I'd take grief for it.

Mustard containers are pliable 'cause they're meant to be squeezed so I doubt it'd crack if dropped. Just got to remember to mark it appropriately & keep it in the garage so someone doesn't inadvertantly put it in the refrigerator .... makes for odd tasting tube-steaks.

Some of the 2oz containers I saw at Wal-Mart looked like of brittle so I didn';t buy any. I'll probably look into the link provided by sgo .... thanks again.

I ordered about 8 bucks worth so we will see how they turn up. Sadly no PET bottles, even though I like a clear look to em.

NYV6 - Sometimes WalMart has a 4 pack of "travel bottles" by Goody, those are OK, but I avoid the clear flip-tops due to the squeezing / cracking issue.
I get mine at "Michaels" craft store - it's a big chain out here & as far as OH, don't know about NY? The other advantage for me is the cap flips open, not just a little "spigot" thingy. They are available in 2, 4, & 8 oz. sizes.

Good luck!

Norah

I saw the 4-pack with flip-tops at Wal-Mart. I when I squeezed one it didn't seem pliable,but perhaps they deserves a 2nd look.

If not, there's a couple craft stores near by that'll probably have what I'm looking for.

Don't know if any of them are "Michael's", I don't spend much time brousing around craft stores but it reminds me of going "antiqueing" & I'd rather have a sharp-stick-in-the-eye than ever get roped into that habit again.

Now that you mention it - I don't recall seeing a lot of men in Michael's - and those that I do see, seem to be there in the role of "bored, purse holders"! :lol
I know it goes against the "male creed", but if you want to get in and out, I would STRONGLY urge you to ask for them - I found them in the stenciling & paint area in one store, and somewhere else entirely in another Michael's store. The 2 oz. were $.69 ea.
Good luck,
Norah

PS - The WalMart ones I bought are made by "Goody" and the pack of 4 was $1.50. YMMV :)
