OK guys I am at a total loss here. What is the best all around polish, swirl remover out there keeping in mind ease of use and cost. I have a couple of vehicles to detail with moderate swirls in them. Have a PC and edge 2000 pads if that helps. Please share the knowledge.

Probably not so maybe I should ask what works best for you and see if I can get multiple replies and see what the majority says

I'm going to bet on Optimum Polish. It's a user friendly polish that has decent correction abilities and can finish well.

I don't think you're going to get anyone to agree on a "best" polish.

We won't agree, but at least I can be consistent ;)

Regulars here know that I almost *always* recommend 1Z brand polishes (sources: Welcome to Exceldetail.com! or Aloha & Welcome to Our Oasis for All Your Auto Detailing, Auto Detailing Supplies, Auto Detailing Equipment, Auto Detailing Products, & Auto Detailing Accessories for all your Automobile Detailing ). I find them much more user friendly than stuff like OP or Meguiar's, and just *perfect* for people who are just starting to get serious about this stuff. Still use 'em myself despite having scads of stuff on the shelf.

To me, it's pretty much a case of "if you have to ask which polish to use, try 1Z first".

What the heck, I'll take a shot. Since you mention "all-around" and "cost" in the same breath....drum roll, please....

Poorboy's SSR. Pack SSR 2.5 and 1 in your bag and you'll be able to do a lot of work on a lot of finishes in a lot of conditions.

Now, if you're only talking one product...that's a bit more difficult. Maybe Meguiar's DACP?

I don't see #83 finishing out all that great (except by rotary). If it's gotta be a one-step polish I'd use the 1Z PP and live with the remaining/deeper marring.

SIP followed by 106ff.

SIP alone can do a great job though.

I'm with KnuckleBuckett. SIP and 106ff let you get the max correction you can get with a PC in the medium and finishing polish categories. And SIP can finish down beautifully if you need to one step it.
