Product for nav touch screens?

Is there a product that is safe to use on a NAV touch screen that will not finger print? I have been using water up until now but I need to do a better job.

Most all electronics stores will sell an LCD safe cleaning agent these days. I know for a fact that *shudder* Monster makes one. There is also one called iKlear that makes them for a ton of different things I believe.

Plexus or DP's Plexall works great. I use it on my flat screen TV & PC monitors also

DWG for the home is great for cleaning LCD's. Products should not be sprayed on the screens. So it will not run down inside. This will definitely shorten the life of your screen. Spray what ever product you decide to use on a glass cloth or soft micro fiber. Wipe gentlely.

I use Klear Screen travel singles. These come in a twin pack of one wet and one dry lint-free applicator in foil sealed packets. Toss a few in the glovebox and they are always available. They make the screen anti-static so they avoid dusting. A gentle wipe with their MF or chamois will keep the fingerprints at bay in between Klear Screan applications. Works really well on all laptop/phone/iPod/and Plasma screens.

I use a 50/50 blend of IPA and water on laptops and nav screens. It's simple, cheap and most effective. A tiny mist goes a long way...wipe clean with your favorite MF.

I've been using Meguiars Quick Interior Cleaner with a soft microfiber cloth. Seems to be working great.

Just a FYI...

LCD display screens are made of plastic. Plastics and Computer manufacturers consistently do not recommend alcohol or ammonia-based cleaners. Repeated applications of alcohol on plastic may turn your screen surface yellow, make it brittle, and can cause stress cracking on your screen surface.

I've seen quite a few recommendations for this brew (IPA/water) from different mfrs. It seems to be quite effective. It may also be a function of materials used in construction. I agree, it's likely not a one-size-fits-all deal.

a lot of tv (plasma and lcd) junkies recommend just a small squirt of distilled water on a camera lens cleaning cloth for care of their large screen tvs...I use this method for both my plasma tvs in the house and my nav units in my vehicles.

Another vote here for Plexus. The Diamondite system looks interesting.



I'm concerned about using anything that will do too much polishing, as it will remove the anti-glare coating. That's why I like the Plexus.
