I have a SVT Focus, in 'Sonic Blue', which is the special Ford finish comprising of a very blue base coat, and a pearl or candy top-coat...
I wanted to get some opinions on products that work well with this colour.
Or better yet, any SVT owners here with Ford blue?? Lets hear from you!
Thanks

What are you looking for? Wax wise i really like the pb nattys blue, i this adams butter wax would look nice on it. Umm ne clay will do a nice job. And i would use megs polish it works well. It think it does a ncie job and easy to find. But with blue i would suggest Nattys Blue (no pun intended)
Just my 2 cents. good luck

I'm a Poorboy's fan, but we need to know some things:
1. What year?
2. What is the paint condition?
3. Is your goal protection or shine? (yeah, we know, both)
4. How often are you willing to treat your car.

For Poorboy's World products, and most any system like Meg's as OTC, there are several steps in paint prep. If you can't use a machine, and based on the assumption that the paint isn't bad, I would recommend:
1. Wash with expensive, sudsy, slick soap.
2. Clay. You can do this. Search for instructions and get a kit from a sponsor or an OTC kit.
3. Klasse All-in-One or Poorboy's Polish with Sealant by hand.
4. Here we need to know your commitment. There are lots of good LSPs, waxes and sealants. Sealants will last longer, but some prefer the way waxes look, particularly in the evening. Waxes should be applied at least monthly, unless you live in some magic place with no weather. I prefer:
-Pinnacle Souveran
-Poorboy's Natty's Blue
-Poorboy's EX-P/EX
Just my preferences, but there are lots of others.

Good luck and welcome.

What Brenton outlined will do you well. Follow his suggestions and your vehicle will be protected and shiny. When you get the full program of prep going great shine and protection will be there, also.
