Problem with site/browser - cant' stay logged in on main page

Just wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem while using firefox?

I stay logged in everplace else. With the main page on autopia though, I hit log in, and when it loads, I am not logged in again. Can't seem to figure out why.

UnsanePyro,

I'm using FF with no problems. Sometimes, the site cookies on your PC get screwed up . . . try clearing all cookies for Autopia, then try logging back in.

If you're still having problems, PM me or one of the other moderators.

Good luck,

Tort

I have the same problem (using Firefox). I've noticed that the main page never remembers who I am until I've clicked on at least one link. These days, I almost always go to Autopia through a bookmarked "New Posts" search, and since I'm not starting on the home page, everything works fine. Since I started at the site somewhere else (other than the home page), I can click on "Home" and it still knows who I am.

However, I just tested something out. If I open my bookmarked link to new forum posts, it works fine. Then I click on "Home" and it works fine. Then, if I type in "www.autopia.org" in the address bar, the page reloads, and no longer remembers who I am (same browser window, same tab). Then, if I click on any link, including just clicking on the "Home" button, it remembers who I am again.

I have had this same problem for awhile as well...I just re-click the "home" button on the website (not on my browser). The page magically reloads and remembers my credentials. This problem occurs on two different PC's while using Firefox (1.5.0.3) - no problems experienced with IE6.
