Pro Polish or Polish with Sealant?

Reading the thread about Pro Polish got me to wondering.
In a normal paint prep session, is there some reason to use Pro Polish instead of PwS?
To me, it seems that the PwS does pretty much the same thing as the Pro Polish plus having some abrasive qualities and leaves protection behind.
While the Pro Polish is a chemical cleaner, the PwS isn't all that abrasive if used with the right pad.
Is the main reason for using Pro Polish to have a chemical cleaner only for those that want a non abrasive product?

basically your logic is correct, one other reason a person may pick PP over PwS is the product that may be used afterwards ;)

That statement is probably going to need a little clarification for me.
I thought PwS was a good starting point for any product to be used afterward.
I thought it was similar to Klasse AIO in that it would be a good base for any sealant or wax that you wanted to follow it with. The added protection it leaves, I considered to be a bonus.
Should PwS not be used as a base for sealants and only be used prior to a wax?

Charles as you know there are a couple finicky brands of sealants that do not agree with many bases:notme:, but they do work with PP ;)

another reason to use PP instead of PwS would be on a fresh paint job :)

If any of the finicky brands begin with Z, it won't be a problem for me. I don't use any products that begin with the letter Z. :D

FWIW, I do have both Pro Polish and PwS on hand. :)
