Preventing scratches on interior gloss black plastic trim

Hey guys, I just got a new car that has a few areas of gloss black plastic trim. Experience tells me that I will scratch this stuff up within weeks if I just leave it as is. Has anyone used a ceramic coating product or any kind of product that would help prevent scratching the soft plastic? I was thinking about just using what I use on the exterior, but thought I would check here for other ideas. Thanks!
 
There is no "magic bullet" for keeping gloss black scratch or swirl-free.
One word of caution: do not use paper toweling for cleaning plastic. It is a common mistake made by many car owners and that is what causes many swirl problems on plastics.
I like using Meg`s Mirror Glaze Plastic Cleaner M17 and Polish M10 on plastics, like fake wood trim, even though it says they are for clear plastic, like Lexan lens or clear vinyl convertible windows.
 
I guess it`d be more of my Autopian Heresy to suggest that there are cars where you can keep it (nearly) and then there are the 99.9% of cars where that`s simply impossible. I`m pretty, uhm...extreme about such stuff, but even my S8 has some imperfections like that.

Note that IME such surfaces can only be corrected a few times before the finish is over-thinned.
