yhea, This is as easier purchase to make than my Makita 9227C. It cost $190 and that didn't include pads.

The PC will come around to $170 or so and that includes all the pads.

Yhea, I do all the case mods myself. Actually, that is the reason I have the makita 9227c. I use it to buff out the paint.

my last total was $539.10 with shiping... that took me about 70 hours working to make... and my friends say i'm crazy... The PC at lowes and pads from CMA is a good combo.. that's what i did and i think it works great.

Seriously, $539!!!!... What did you order? That is like all my orders from CMA combined plus some.

I ordered the pads from CMA and plan on getting the PC at Lowes also.

My last order to CMA 5 days ago was $68 and I was feeling bad. Whewwww. After reading this thread, I don't feel so bad anymore. ;)

If you haven't already tried it, I think you'll really like the Sonus Acrylic Spritz. It's a nice compliment to the Klass SG. :up

You will now have the ulitimate combo, a rotary and a PC. :xyxthumbs I own both a PC and a DeWalt 849 rotary and it's nice have both machines at your disposal. There are not to many of us around here that have rotarys, maybe we should start our own support club.;)

That was about 3 weeks ago... just this week i spent another $100 geting some zaino to try out. Needa buy some Fieldcrests too... I really need a job that pays more.. (no i'm not a real doctor or professional detailer ;) )

w00t Got my shipment today. Still gotta run out to lowes to get the PC. Hope they have one in stock.

I'll be testing the PC out on... a friends car this weekend :D

I want to buy a pressure washer and foam cannon, but does it really speed up the washing process? Also when using this combo to you guys rinse the car, foam it, and rinse gain then dry? Or do you guys go ahead and wash while the car is foamed? Would really like to hear your methods on this one thanks..

I am curious about this as well. I have seen multiple methods used on here and would like to know why. I realize a lot of it is personal preference and/or the situation, but there is always a method to the madness.

Mostly, for me, it's to loosen up (emulsify?) any grime, especially in the wheel wells and lower panels. I always end up 2 bucket washing afterwards in the nicer weather. In the cold weather it does help to speed things up; power spray down, foam, let it dwell, power spray off, re-foam, wipe down. No matter what I do, a good wash usually takes me roughly an hour from start to dry.

-Pressure wash to blast off as much grime as possible

-Foam and let sit (mist with water to reactivate suds if there stagnate)

-Pressure wash off all foam

-Proceed with regular 2 bucket washing

when i do it ....

power spray with water...

foam, let dwell....

spray off....

re-foam and two bucket wash as fast as possible....

then spray off...

then blow dry with the master blaster
