i have a car show coming up next week and was wondering what products i should use? over the 4th of July i clayed my truck, used meguiars show car glaze(#7), and topped it with nxt tech wax. i really liked the look and got alot of compliments. last week i accidently used a bottle of cleaner wax because i was out of the nxt. does this mean i have to start all over again with applying the glaze? if so whats the best way to remove the wax on my truck? i also have purchased some poorboys blue pwc and blue natty's but haven't really tested them out. i was just wondering what you guys recomended for the best shine? i liked the nxt because of the ease of use and removal.

thanks for any info

I woudl go with:

wash
clay
PwC
nattys

IMHO nattys and PwC is much easier to use than nxt... and nxt isnt even hard.

thanks for the info, do you really think i would have to clay my truck again? i've probaly only put around 300 miles on it since then.

It depends were you live and what conditon the vehicle sees everyday. Do the plastic bag test.

I doubt it, unless you have a lot of industrial fallout or park under lots of trees. I usually clay my daily driver once a year (give it the plastic bag test...put a sandwich bag over your hand and "feel" the paint surface. If it's rough and pitted feeling, clay away).

I also use and take a good detail spray to the car show. I'm partial towards Adams Detail Spray, but there's tons of others and I'm not finished with my gallon yet.

PwC should remove the buildup of wax on the truck. If you not sure though just use ssr1 or a very light polish prior to PwC. IM almost posotive that it removes old wax though. Just dont go with the Dawn.

Do you even dislike the look of the cleaner wax? Try applying the #7 and NXT on 1 section and see if you like that look. Maybe you won't have to start from scratch after all.
If you are going the PB route, PwC should get rid of the cleaner wax, especially if you are using a PC.

thank's for all the info guys. i think i am going to try the PwC and blue Natty's this time. the cleaner wax i used is Cailifornia Customs M-RON glass. it's an excellent one step process and can be applied and removed to my entire truck in like 20 minutes. you can purchase it from click here

what do you guys mean when you say PwC and Nattys? what are all of these acronyms?

DOAS

They are Poorboys World products the P-w-C is short for Polish with Carnuba and Nattys is his paste wax.
