Garry Dean Quality!
2008 Black Magic Metallic VW 2 door GTI. This car is a zippy little roller skate on 18 inch wheels. With a turbocharged inline 4 cylinder engine firing out 200hp and 207 ft lb of torque this machine has no problem moving out of its own way. This GTI does 0-60mph in 7.2 seconds on the stock engine and drive train.
I was contacted by this client on Autopia.org to do a full exterior detail on his 08 GTI and to remove some swirls and holograms throughout the car. This car is relatively new, but it seemed as if someone tried their hand for the first time with a rotary buffer on the drivers side of this car. The car was a bit swirled, but the driver door was the worst panel on the car. The clear on this car was ridiculously hard, as most German clear is. When I was finished with the detail the owner commented that the car looked like a totally different color. The flakes on this car were popping in the sun very nicely.
Exterior paint:
* Dawn presoak and wash
* Clay with Pinnacle Poly Clay 2 and ONR diluted as lube
* Taped up with 3M masking tape
* Cut and polished with Menzerna PO203 with G110 and 4” and 6.5” LC CCS orange pads
* Finished with Menzerna PO203 with G110 and 4” and 6.5” LC CCS white pads
* Sealed with Four Star UPP
* Exterior windows cleaned with Stoner Invisible Glass
* Trim treated with Turtle Wax ICE synthetic paste polish
Exhaust tips:
* P21S Polishing Soap
* OPT Metal Polish
Wheels and tires:
* Wheels and tires sprayed down with Eagle One A2Z wheel and tire cleaner
