Preferred swirl spotter?

Scottwax- You still work outside a lot, right? That seems like a good test of the LED flashlight....I gotta revisit the idea of using one of those some time.

If I am outside, I use the sun. On a cloudy day though, a good LED really helps to check your work. Just have to realize in that light what might look perfect with the LED might not be 100% in the sun too so moving it into a garage and checking again gives you a better indication of the true condition of the paint. But at least it helps monitor your progress.

I believe there is not one light that is best for every situation and IMO it's best to use 2-3 for inspecting. That being said, I prefer my Fenix PD35 and TK15 for inspecting my work over all others. I'll also use my LED headlamp on jobs where 99-100% correction is the goal.

The sun definitely does not show everything and there have been numerous time where the Fenix shows micro marring that can't be seen under the sun. It's also not always available which is a huge factor. I do feel it is good for seeing rotary holograms though. I was not impressed with the Sun Gun.

Exactly! I use a fenix uc30 an the hl12. It was 100 for both, you wont beat that combo for the price.
