Preferred Hose Nozzle?

Anybody have a favorite wash nozzle that they recommend? I am going buy a new hose this weekend, so I figured I would get a nice car wash nozzle with a locking spray etc.

I have seen one by Meg's and by Turtle-Wax. Any thoughts?

Mine is a craftmans firehose style and its only one that I have ever had that I like allot....I have one on every hose around the house, that's four total

I also have a craftsman firehose style and its the best I've ever had. It also has a lifetime warrenty. It's the best I've ever had.

I'm with Beemerboy. Best nozzle I've ever had. Built like a tank and should last the rest of your life, unless a tank happens to run over it, and even then I'm not sure it wouldn't keep on working just fine!

I agree with the firehouse nozzle. I got one from Target and it's held up pretty well. I think it was 9.99. I also use an in-line ball valve for on/off rather than twisting nozzle for on/off.

I'm gonna go out on a limb, and say it's probably the best one you ever had. :t

just messing with you :naughtyD

i also have and use the craftsman fire hose nozzle, and the lifetime warranty is great. but, i bought the zinc shut off valve which is also made by craftsman (around $2-$3), and it works better than the fire hose nozzle imo. with a simple slow turn, you can change the spray pattern and you don't have to take it off when doing the final sheeting rinse. :)

Thanks for pointing me toward the "firehose" style nozzle. I picked up a Craftsmen model from Sears and used it this weekend. VERY nice. I like the hard rubber around the edges - very durable. Combined with a new hose I am looking good.... :)

I use The Ultimate Hose Nozzle by Bonaire. It's a firemens nozzle like the Craftsman but better quality.

They are both made by Bonaire. Bonaire makes a 1/2 lb. aluminum version which they also make for Sears and they make a higher end 1 pound wonder of stainless steel and brass.

The Craftsman and the Bonaire Ultimate Hose Nozzle I own dto not look the same. They are both fire hose type nozzles but thats where the similarity ends. The rubber is different and so is the threading and the general quality is different.

Anthony out of the two nozzles which one would you recommend?

I've done a search and can't find the thread that addressed this issue. I'm sure it was the Bonaire 1 pounder that was discussed in the earlier thread. This nozzle I believe is the same nozzle that Griotts sells for mega bucks ($100 bucks for the nozzle and shut off valve). Does any one know where you can buy this nozzle and matching valve at a reasonable price? I've seen the 1/2 pound version but am interested in there top of the line product.

The 1 lb stainless steel and the half pound aluminum are both excellent. They are the same except for the aluminum vs the stainless steel. At one time the Stainless steel version only came with a one way shut off and the aluminum came with a two way shut off. Now they both have a two way shut off. Also I believe the stainless version has little nubs on the rubber but the aluminum version has indentations for your fingers. I personally prefer the aluminum version because it is lighter and still built like a tank.

Believe me, they are both Bonaire. There are two models, one is aluminum and plastic guts, the other has stainless and brass workings. The rubber shield is different on each also. The stainless/brass model is the top of the line.
