Pre-Autopia 03 Saab 9-3

I found these today. These were taken the day my previous Saab went back on lease. This car went to the swirl chamber car wash once per week and was NEVER waxed or polished. I also NEVER dressed the interior. I owned this car for 30 months and drove it 30,000 miles. This was parked DAILY in a mid-town NYC garage. BEAT TO DEATH in other words.

See what you think.

Shows why dealer sealant packages aren't worth crap. Seriously, with minimal care, most modern clearcoat finishes will look pretty decent 5 years later.

Your interior looks pretty good for no major detailing. :)

The car in the pictures was a TOTAL LEMON.

This had 7 miles on it when I bought it. Here is a list of the problems I had with it in 30 months of use. I wanted to light this thing on fire so some poor fool doesnt get stuck with it down the road.

1. Power steering pump hose burst -towed

2. Steering rack and power steering pump replaced -towed

3. Radio amplifier replaced

4. Windshield wiper motor replaced

5. Power windows inoperable

6. Parking brake activating while driving, turning the rear brakes bright red

7. Keys died (computer controlled)

8. Rear shocks replced

9. Sunroof frozen open -towed

10. Front strut rattling, sounds like tie rod loose. Repaired

11. Front strut struts replaced due to new rattles -towed

12. Body computer replaced, car not responding to anything -towed

13. Add Anti-freeze (Saab uses a RED antifrfeeze)

Each of these repairs was done in 1 day, the car never stayed overnight anywhere. Everytime it broke they gave me a new loaner car. Everything was covered under warranty. The 2006 replacement car was sold to me so cheap due to the history of this car, I had to take it.
