PRESS RELEASE: 3D International joins forces with PPG to be exclusive Eastern European distributor

Istanbul, Turkey, March 3rd 2014 – President & CEO of 3D International Tunch Goren announced as exclusive Eastern European partner of PPG Automotive Refinish.

PPG, the automotive industry’s largest manufacturer of paint for both the OEM and aftermarket sector, has awarded 3D International & Norton Abrasives to be the official brand of products at auto manufacturing plants as well as paint distributors and body shops where their line is currently being used/sold. “This rollout is to begin immediately in Turkey and expand to Cyprus, and other countries in the regionâ€ says Goren.

3D International currently has 17 key distributors in Turkey and has plans to expand operations to facilitate additional growth as needed. Also, with a specialized staff of 2 Account Managers and 6 Product Trainers there will be more than adequate support coverage.

PPG has elected to support the entire 3D product line of cleaners, degreasers, dressings,  waxes and polishing compounds with key emphasis on the HD Cut and Polish system which will play a fundamental role at production lines and paint shops. “We’ve taken our philosophy of Detailing Made Simple and brought it to the car manufactures so they can reap the benefits of better quality, speed and valueâ€ says Goren.

Long term emphasis will be to capture all the PPG global markets including Asia, Europe, United Kingdom, Middle East, Canada as well as North and South America. 3D has expanded manufacturing at their home base of Santa Clarita, CA by adding an additional 15,000 sq ft plant which now increases their production facility to 85,000 sq ft to take on this new venture.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yes, this is a huge deal for 3D and should prove to be a large turn from what the industry has been accustomed to for many years. I can't imagine the global impact that PPG has on the industry and to be a part of their exclusive product list is a great accomplishment.
