I have a contour svt with the stock alum. clear coated wheels. I currently have a mothers powercone and a lugnut brush(with shank for drill). They
do a good job. I am thinking of buying a mini powerball or possibly the
flitz ones . Which is better ?? Thanks in advance

I am trying to get the rim part of the wheel as clean and polished as possible.
Had A great deal of brake dust on them. I got 95 % of it off. I am left with
some ashfault that I am working on. Used stoner tarm. porduct did not do
much. I used a industrial cleaner that got most of it off. So now I use
mothers plastic polish and wheel wax. Along with the powercone and lugnut brush. For a wheel and tire cleaner i used the blackfire product. So i am getting my wheels looking good. the front of them look great. The rims still need work.

I have heard Forrest from Mothers say that the plastic polishing with a power ball is your best bet. The clear on your wheels is softer then that on your paint so a plastic polish will work best.

I have never used the flitz, but the mini PB is available at most auto parts store.

Powerball /flitz

Thanks Pad Man !! It looks like I will get the mothers. I certainly do not want
to use a product that will mess up the clear coat. The flitz appears to be too
abrasive. This forum can be a real good source of info Thanks all
