Posting pics online can give away your location

Wonder if you disable this feature, will it mess you up should you ever have a heart attack/bad wreck and need to call 911 without being able to speak

no this is a different feature, in most phone under phone options or secuirty it says location on/off or e911 only . it will broadcast when you dail 911 no matter what setting its on. the geotag feature only applies to pictures

this info is for cdma phones only ...i was a data tech for vzw, i know gsm phones work on a different system but unsure how they work exactly

Yes, hit 911 and fall-out. This is how I'm feeling right now. I had to come in and take a break. Its 10:37a.m. and with the heat index it is already 109 X_X

For those of you who already shot photos when the geotagging was on, you can remove properties from photos to get rid of the geotags.

When I post photos to a forum they come form a photo hosting website, this way there's no information associated with it.
