Was wondering if I could get help on the following.
Last night, I forgot to close the passenger front side window.
It was only open 3/4 of the way...not the full way.
Nonetheless, we had a massive storm with heavy wind and rain pass through.
When I came outside about an hour after I noticed this was open.
The good news was, only the passenger side showed most of the impact.
Now I have a 2006 VW Jetta that has Leatherette Interior...so it was not too bad.
I got a towel, wiped it down.
Still the passenger seat even now (18 hours later) feels somewhat damp (not too bad)...as does parts of the passenger dashboard and the driver's steering wheel.
The passenger floormat got drenched.
1) Now what I did was last night was dry it out with a towel.
2) Today I ran the heater for half hour with it directed at the floor.
3) I then had the windows and roof open all day to air it out.
4) I also ran a vaccum in it.
My question....is the interior damaged in any way...or in a few days will it totally dry?
In other words:
-Has the leatherette possibly had the integrity damaged
-Might the speakers also be in trouble, and
-Mildew be a problem or is it no bigge?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
