Possible 303 issue...

A little while ago a friend of mine mentioned that he could not get his tonneau cover to look clean again. He was also worried about protection because it sits outside.
With the advice of many from Detail City I decided to help him out. I gave it a wash first. Then I sprayed it with PB BnB, scrubbed it with a nylon brush, and buffed it with a terry cloth towel. I let that sit and dry for a few minutes, sprayed it with 303, and buffed with a terry towel.
The tonneau cover looked brand spankin' new after that and my friend was quite pleased!
I just talked to him and he said it still looked decent. The problem is...when it rained, he claims that one or both of the products ran down the sides of his truck. Is this a common problem? Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?:hmmm:
I have NEVER had any problem with BnB (or any Poorboy's product for that matter:bow), so I am thinking the culprit MIGHT be the 303?

i have noticed that 303 will run. on my soft top i use bestop protectant with good results. hardly any run off. tho the longer the protectant sits without rain or a wash gives it a chance to set in. 303 is a good product. just the nature of the beast. i recall years ago they made a product called tonneau tonic.

I just tried some Black Wow. We shall see how it does. It did not make the appearance really any different than other trim restorers and judging longevity. I will try it on some other plastics once I see what happens over the next few weeks. Interestly, it rained just hours after application and almost every day since for short periods.
