Porter Cable White pad

Its for polishing. You might want to invest in a good velcro backing plate and some quality pads from Lake Country, Meguiars, or Sonus.

Don't use that thing! That thing is way to hard to do anything with. I would not rec. you use it all. I don't know it is supposed to be used for! Here are some options you should look into if you are going to do some polishing!! Here are the pads I like the most! And underneath are some links to get them!! You will need the velcro backing plate, the kits I linked for you have backing plates in them !!

Lake Country MFG Yellow 7.5" Cutting Pad

Meguiar's Yellow 6.5" Polishing Pad

Sonus Gray 6.5" Finishing Pad

Kind of creepy how Pats300zx and I think alike. We picked the same pads in the same order.:bow

keep it and buy a bonnet for it for removal purposes...works great!!! If you are getting rid of it though, I'll take it.

I haven't used mine yet, but I plan to use it for polishing metal in the engine bay with Mothers mag/alum polish...particularly my valve cover after I take the plastic off of the top to paint it black in the spring.

BTW, it comes with the PC as a polishing pad.

what do you guys think about the Sonus "white pad" .....

Make a long story short. After washing and ringing the stock white pad out I connected it back to the P/C and did not realize that it was on 6 speed setting, Before i had a chance to lower the speed the pad torn a part.....never did find the other half...
