Im trying to get a portable steam cleaner for my engine bay and other things. Whats the best portable steam cleaner? Not trying to spend over $100 =/

You probably will not be able to find a very effective unit for under $100. My mom bought a cheap one, and it was not very powerful at all.

I was thinking the same thing that for under a hundered its going to be tough to find a reliable unit. I know Euro Pro makes a Shark steamer which is like $100 bucks. It is 1555W. I havent read to many good reviews on the item and I heard their customer support is not very good in case it were to break down.

The Shark steamer is junk. My brother bought my parents one for Christmas one year and it lasted about two uses. I would advise to stay away from it.

Bissell Little Green Machine (Heated), is about $100. I had one and it worked ok. It finally quit after about 3 months of hard use, but I feel like I got my money's worth.

I have the Shark Steamer and I like it a lot. I have not had any problems with mine and I use it to freshen upholstery, leather and clean the vinyl. It is a good upsell, because it sanitizes as well.

bissell little green machine with heater and 2 attachments. worked 4 times, on my house spots (didnt even try it on the car yet) then the solution sprayer stopped it didnt matter which attachment end i tried. it will only vac up now. oddly the one I bought before worked for 4 years no problems.

I've been through 3 Little Greens myself. The first 2 were horrible (they were dark green in color), but the one I'm using now (neon green colored tanks and trim) works like a champ. I've used it around the house and to do about 10 cars so far. I guess if you don't clean carpets every day/every other day, it will make a good steam cleaner.

The Bissell Little Green isn't the same as a Steamer. I beleive Sooky is refering to a Steamer that emits pressurized steam . It doesn't extract like the Bissell. 2 completely different types of machines. That habor frieght model only holds 1.5 quarts of water. That doesn't seem like much water to me .:dunno

hello all i havent post3ed her for a while i just did a ford f150 choo choo custom the customer brought me his little steamer to use it works great for vents in the dash and door hinges
