Portable Handheld Car Vac's.......

I'm interested in purchasing a handheld vac to keep in the car for quick pickups before a car show, etc. I'd like one that's powerful, but small enough to store in the trunk of the Vette without taking up too much space.

It would also be nice to just get out the mini-vac while my wife runs into the store... (yes, I'm that anal.)

What's the best one?

Where to buy?

What's the most powerful?

Best price?

Any other info you wish to share.

Bill...

This is what I use. Perfect for what you are looking for. I have one for car shows and one down at the beach for my boat.

It's cordless also.

Shark Cordless 15.6 volt

Dyson

Bought the wife a hand held Dyson and was shocked at how well it worked. It is not small as you said you were looking for nor cheap ( over $100.00 ) but its my go to portable. After using this we purchased the fullsize pet model and quit using our Oreck and gave the Kirby to Goodwill. If you are wanting a powerful cordless then check out the Dyson.

I'll look into that one. I definitely want a cordless. Charge it up during the week. Stick it in the car on Friday night for the weekend shows.:D

I really like that vac, but I need a cordless for use when I don't have a power source.

It's because you can't stop feeding your PAC addiction! Don't worry though, you're not alone in that boat. :cursing:

I thought I was anal about cleaning. I leave a couple microfibers and a bottle of quick interior detailer in the truck along with a megs slide lock brush.

I'm just one of these guys who can't stand dirty floormats. My wife rubs the soles of her shoes together before she gets in the car. (by her own choice!)

Target has some good looking cordless units, Black & Decker, etc. They also show a Hoover cordless that is wet/dry. THAT might be real handy. The Hoover is only available online, though.

I'm still looking around. I had a Hoover in the full size Ford Conversion Van that I had back in the '90's. Best portable vac I ever had.

I bought the dewalt portible vac a while back. It can operate on the 18V battery or plug into an outlet. I have a lot of the 18V tools anyway so i already had the batteries. dewalt DC500 - works great and its a wet/dry vac
Here is a description for it. If you already have dewalt tools and battereis, this is a good addition.

Yeah, I looked at the DeWalt, but it's too big to carry around in the car.
