OPERATION SWIRL CITY…

This is a new client of mine. He has a few ‘P’ cars and wanted to start with his Carrera S first. The paint was completely covered in swirls. Had some scuffs, marring, and heavier scratches as well. The front half of the hood and leading edges were covered in PPF that was also swirled, and I polished it as best as possible.

The ‘details’:

SCG Pro shampoo.
Griots’ medium clay mitt.
Adam’s tire and rubber cleaner.
Adam’s wheel cleaner.
Misc. brushes/mitts/etc.
DeFelsko PTG.
Scangrip lighting.
Rupes MkIII 15 (loving the new MkIII series machines).
Rupes Mille.
Beta test mini/nano polisher.
Rupes green pads.
Griots FC MF pads.
Rupes yellow pads.
Optimum panel wipe for final wipe down.
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte (LSP).
Adams’ wheel coating.
Adam’s trim coating.
Auto Finesse glass cleaner.
Metro vacuum.
HD Dress tire dressing.
McKee’s37 quick interior detailer.

Thanks for looking!

So what kind of ptg do you use and does it do other materials than metal? Also how much did it cost

Thank you everyone!!!

Civic: It`s a DeFelsko. Yes, it reads ferrous, non-ferrous, plastic, fiberglass and carbon fiber, etc. It was around $2000.00 if I remember.

Great work as usual!

I like that tire spinner/rack. Now put some wheels on it and add a small lift (like a car mover dolly), and it would allow you to take the wheel off, spin it, and put it back on without any lifting.

That is a great idea, those tire racks look helpful.

Scott, nice work and documentation as usual.
