Porsche 991S back from the deads!

This is an hardcas. It's a 1970's 911S - 2.2 190hp... that have seen no much care nor garaging.

It hadn't an inch of shine, had a lot of oxidation, a lot of bad retouches, stains and had many scratches. Oh, and it is one stage paint.

A Porsche is allways a Porsche. Now its glory was restaured.

Hope you like it! What do you think?

Nice work....looks like a Porsche should. Your process?

Those lights, which I am assuming are driving lights off a Sherman tank, need to go though :rolling

Take care,
Anthony

Yes, it was a full day's work. Uff.

The process was simply: wash & clay; 1Z three polishes by orbital; 1Z wax with carnuba by orbital; Natty's. Glass and mirror and headlights were polished with Autoglym glass-polish and sealed with Grojet2000. Trim was done with 1Z Balsam. :)

The car it's not in its original form. It's a Porsche special with those headligts, scirts, rims and rear wing. It's a fact, today we appreciate more the striped original version.

Nice work :bigups Your before and after pics show the excellent work you put into restoring the paint . Where did you get the Grojet 2000 sealer at ? and how do you like it ?

TIA
Jerry

Thank you for all the support. It's nice! :)

The owner was present the hole time. He couldn't believe it! The car had two shades of orange! Found this pic (and has not flash over exposure):

I've got it from jgv. Here in Portugal is harder to get Klasse than Grojet, so I've never tried another acrylic sealant.

I like this one. It's excelent on reflecting surfaces (as you can see on the windows); on paint it's good. When applying it, its presence (shine and healthy look) is not missed. Also, the treated surfaces, gain an excelent softness at touch.

I also use it on rims, cromes, mirrors and even on interior acrylics.

Yes those lights... poor car. It's included in that "special" Porsche version. The transformation (to it's original form) is expensive because it includes many parts. The owner is selling it. ;)
