Love the color, love the car! That is one of the best jobs I have seen! You probably need a vacation!

Ocean Blue is definitely a stunning color!

Thanks for the kind words!

I have been chilling out a bit lately and gearing up for some upcoming extensive corrections, so it's sort of a vacation. I have another full-time job I work at during the day, so when I don't have to detail I feel like I'm on vacation :chuckle:. My left shoulder has been giving me some trouble, so I have been scheduling lightly as of late.

Way to go rick. I always love reading your thread. Its awesome how you take the time to show us your work and write in so much detail.

Looks sweet. Nice color porsche as well. I like the black calipers as well.

I'm truly at a loss of words Rick! You always seem to outdo yourself!

I do have a few questions for you though. From where did you acquire the small backing plate and pad(s)? Also, where did you get that nifty protective plastic for the driver's side carpet/floor? I'm highly interested in these items, hehe.

EisenHulk- Cool, where did yoou end up finding it?

zxert- Thank you very much! It takes a lot of time to perform the detail and document everything. It's always nice to look back at a car I just detailed from start to finish...

Denzil- Thanks Denzil!

The pads and backing plate can be bought from ADS: Auto Detailing Polishing Pads Small

I forget where I ordered the plastic protection from, but Rightlook.com carries it. Do a search for "dealer must remove plastic" and you will find a bunch of places to get it.

90 ZR-1- Thanks! Here's a ZR-1 I detailed not too long ago: http://www.autopia.org/forum/pro-de...vette-8-days-more-than-60-hours-rickrack.html

Greg Nichols- Hi Greg!

Rick your write ups are as good as your details. You went in great detail on the paint and it really shows on the final pictures. Once again great job.

Brandon

Outstanding as always, Rick. :)

Looks like I need to pick up some of those black lamb's wool pads, they appear to have a lot of cut without beating the crap out of the paint.

Scott, I use the same pads and if you compare it to the PW pads, in my case at least the black one finishes a lot worse. (Of course that is understandable.). However they are great pads.
